Here, we’re starting off with some of the world’s most wheelchair-friendly destinations — have a read, make your plans and we wish you the coolest summer yet!

      UAE

The desert in summer? We’re not joking. The UAE is not only a popular year-round destination, but also incredibly kind towards all kinds of disabilities. Dubai of course is where everyone heads with its calm beaches, futuristic museums, malls, nightlife, and an endless list of activities. And get this – people with disabilities are known as people with determination in the UAE. Dubai beaches have special access for people on wheelchairs, as do public parks and theme parks, and all the major tourist hotspots. Entry is subsidized or free and you can WhatsApp the Dubai Municipality for more information and help anytime!

      Switzerland

According to a number of wheelchair users, Switzerland is one of the best countries to visit if you have limited mobility. Swiss Tourism calls it barrier free travel, and there are tons of activities, accommodations, assisted travel and apps that truly make your trip there satisfying and exhilarating. Whether you want to pass pretty summer days cruising Switzerland’s emerald lakes or visit various towns and cities dotting the Swiss mountains, a trip to this Alpine country should be on your bucket list!

      The Netherlands

Yet another European gem of a place where the government has made serious effort to be disability friendly, the Netherlands is an incredibly friendly place for the mobility impaired with a lot of stuff to do. From enjoying nightlife in Amsterdam to lazing at cafes canal-side at various towns and villages like Giethoorn, you can enjoy your journey through this pretty country with little hassle.
